    David Williams is Chairman of the Seraphim Space Fund Advisory Board and a co-founder of the fund. Formerly Chief Executive and joint founder of Avanti Communications Group plc, David grew Avanti from start-up to a listing on the London Stock Exchange. Building a network of high throughput satellites for services to the British and other governments. Prior to Avanti, David spent 10 years working in the City financing telecommunications with Chase Manhattan, CIBC and Babcock and Brown.

    Dr Igor Ashurbeyli is the founder and Chairman of Aerospace International Research Center (AIRC) and Editor-in-Chief ROOM space journal. Previously he founded Socium Holdings an industrial conglomerate with 10,000 employees. He’s a member of the Executive Committee of the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of UNESCO’s Science of Space committee. In 2016 he launched Asgardia, a global, unifying and humanitarian project, a space nation coalition with >300,000 members aiming to create a demilitarized and free scientific base of knowledge in space. This was merged into Telespazio SpA, where he took up the position of Head of Satellite Systems & Applications. He graduated from Università La Sapienza (Roma) and holds a Master of Science in Electronic Engineering.

He has over 25 years’ experience in the space sector, from upstream detector development to downstream applications of space data.

    Dr Vanessa Lawrence’s early career included senior positions at Autodesk Inc and Pearson plc. From 2000-2014 she was the Director General and CEO of Ordnance Survey, Great Britain’s National Mapping Authority and the founding Co-Chair of the UN’s Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (2011-15). She currently is working internationally as a senior advisor to governments, inter-governmental organisations including the World Bank and large private sector organisations is a Director of Location International Ltd and is a Non-Executive Director at the Satellite Applications Catapult.

    Kit is Seraphim Capital’s Chairman and a Managing Partner with over 25 years of early stage investment experience. He is also Managing Director of the The Summit Group. Kit was responsible for growing The Summit Group into a diversified financial group encompassing vendor finance, property investment and services, structured finance and insurance – many of which commenced as start-up operations.
