Seraphim is a UK-based venture capital fund that invests in companies with highly scaleable, disruptive technology that are addressing large global markets. Seraphim invests across all sectors and all stages.

The fund is backed by a consortium of business angel networks and corporate venturers from across the UK and the US. The consortium includes Europe's largest early stage venture investor as well as the leading angel networks from across the UK and the US.

By making initial investments of £0.5 million - £2 million, the fund is focused on addressing the equity gap. As well as looking to bridge the funding gap for high growth UK companies, Seraphim is also looking to address two other critical issues facing many companies: people and international expansion.

As difficult as it can be to raise equity investment, many early stage companies are also faced by the other challenges of trying to forge contacts with executives at large blue chip potential customers, of attracting high calibre staff, and of attempting to expand its operations outside of the UK. As an angel-led fund, Seraphim is uniquely placed to assist with all these issues.

Through its aggregate network of more than 1,000 business angels, Seraphim has access to an exclusive 'black book' of high level contacts across almost every sector. With each investment Seraphim makes, it looks to leverage this network to open doors at potential customers and also to help identify outstanding new recruits. Likewise, the Fund has a very strong presence in the US through its partner organisations and is ideally placed to help its portfolio companies expand into the US.
