Aria Networks, a provider of network planning and optimization software applications and services for Telecommunications, Cloud, Data Centre, Over-The-Top (OTT) and Social Network Service Providers, today announces that Vodafone is utilising Aria Networks technology as part of a demonstration during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The Vodafone VPN+ demo shows how a VPN (virtual private network) can be enhanced using software-defined networks (SDN) and network functions virtualization (NFV) to increase performance and keep hardware requirements to a bare minimum.
VPN+ automates and simplifies deployment and incident management processes, while providing information about multiple parameters (analytics, performance and security monitoring). It is a non-proprietary system built with components from leading manufacturers, including Amdocs, Juniper Networks, Aria Networks, Red Hat, Adva Optical Networking and Fortinet.
Steve Newton, CEO of Aria Networks, comments: “The impact of SDN and NFV technologies requires an active ecosystem of collaborative partners that can demonstrate the transformative potential that this technology has. Aria Networks welcomes the opportunity to be part of this demo that has the support of some of the most innovative companies in the space.”
